McDonald’s just quietly revived a dessert that fans love

One of the most significant changes that has taken place in the world of restaurants over the last two weeks is the transition from fall menus to Christmas menus. There has been a transition from autumnal products to Christmas treats at Cracker Barrel, Starbucks, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Each of these establishments has introduced new menu items that promise to bring you seasonal enthusiasm and good cheer.

And now, McDonald’s has brought back a menu item that customers anxiously anticipate throughout the whole year. It is the Christmas treat that has been around for such a long time that it has become a tradition for many people, with one generation handing it on to the next.

The Holiday Pie from McDonald’s Are Back!

The Holiday Pie from McDonald’s is, of course, the topic of discussion here. The seasonal fan favorite is prepared with a smooth and creamy custard that is piped inside the flaky and buttery crust of McDonald’s portable pies. The custard is then coated with sugar and sprinkled with rainbow sprinkles after it is finished. Since it is a limited-time deal, it is only available in McDonald’s locations that are participating while supplies last.

Every family has its own set of holiday customs, and a significant number of those customs center on the feast. It would seem that McDonald’s is not an exception. A significant number of McDonald’s patrons consider the Holiday Pie to be their all-time favorite, and it was first introduced to the public in 1999, over twenty-five years after the Golden Arches’ first appearance.

When the pie was brought back for the holiday season the previous year, Instagram user @markie_devo posted a message on his profile informing his followers, “Gather your belongings and head over to McDonald’s, the Holiday Pie is back!” A touch of sentimentality was expressed in the comments area.

When I was a youngster, my mother and I would go out and get them, and then we would go and look at the Christmas lights. Despite the fact that this is my second Christmas without my mother, my girls and I continue to value the tradition,” commented one of the commenters.

An further commenter whose birthday is in December said that when they turned 21 the previous year, they were given 21 Christmas pies. Their statement that it was the “best gift I’ve ever received” left us wondering if they had received 20 pies on their 20th birthday, 19 pies on their 19th birthday, and so on during the course of their birthdays.

All of a sudden, raves started pouring in.

An individual who uses Instagram shouted, “The only thing I go to McDonald’s for at all!” Someone another said, “Hell yeah, without a doubt, the best of the year!”

The sentiment that “It’s the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrr” was expressed by one of markie_devo’s followers was a superb way to summarize all of the enthusiasm.

And while we’re on the subject of customs, I’d like to mention that @markie_devo again had the privilege of blogging about the pie’s return this year. IT HAS RETURNED!! In his writing, he referred to the McDonald’s Holiday Pie as “that crispy, custard perfection.”

Is it possible that the Pumpkin and Cream Pie from McDonald’s will no longer be available? It most likely does, but if you happen to be in a position to take advantage of the moment when a local McDonald’s is in the process of selling their last stock of autumn pies and is simultaneously beginning to offer the Holiday Pie, you could just strike the jackpot. Add in the original McDonald’s dessert, the Apple Pie, which is always available on the menu, and you have a perfect combination of fast food pie options. One may also claim that it is perfect.
