Meijer’s Crazy-Cheap Thanksgiving Deals Feed Your Family Under $40

“That includes a 14-pound chicken and Meijer brand ingredients to make Thanksgiving favourites like mashed potatoes, green bean a casserole, sweet potato casserole, and cranberry condiments, as well as turkey stuffing, gravy, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie,” according to the notice issued by Meijer.

The company did not give a whole list of the goods that were included in that $37 total; however, it did emphasize some of the cheap pricing that it offered on turkey, which is the meal that is most often associated with Thanksgiving. The price of frozen turkeys sold under the Meijer brand is now at or below 49 cents per pound, which is much cheaper than the price of 59 cents per pound in 2023.

Similar to how fresh turkeys sold under the Meijer brand are priced at 99 cents per pound this year, they will be priced at $1.19 per pound in 2023. Similarly, frozen turkeys sold under the Butterball brand will be priced at 99 cents per pound in 2024, compared to $1.29 per pound in 2023. In the meanwhile, the price of fresh turkeys sold by Butterball remained unchanged at $1.99 per pound from 2023 to 2024.

A statement was released by Jenn Martin, who is the vice president of Meijer’s Fresh department. “As a family-operated business, we understand the importance to holiday gatherings like Thanksgiving,” Martin stated. “We’re working hard to offer affordable rates on Thanksgiving staples so that consumers can focus on having a special meal with loved ones without having to worry about its cost.”

In Meijer shops, frozen turkeys are currently available, but beginning the week of November 17, fresh turkeys will be available for purchase. There will be a restriction of one turkey brand from Meijer that may be purchased by each individual client.

It is not only Meijer, a regional brand that has more than 500 shops throughout the Midwest, that is providing significant discounts on Thanksgiving meals this year; other grocery retailers are doing the same thing.
