Costco Customer Reveals Ingenious Food Court Pizza Technique: ‘Flawless’

The food court pizzas sold at Costco are already quite popular among members due to the fact that they are both convenient and provide an exceptional bargain, since they cost just $9.95 for an entire 18-inch pie. However, as a result of a brilliant hack that is now making its way around the internet, customers of Costco now have a whole new option to take advantage of the well-known food court service.

One of the customers who frequents Costco came to Reddit this week to describe their straightforward and efficient method for freezing pizza slices from the food court in plastic bags so that they can be reheated whenever the need hits.

“My favorite pizza that has been frozen at Costco is their food hall pizza that I take home whole & freeze for late-night cravings,” they said in their article.

After establishing an intermittent fasting routine that prevents them from indulging in a fresh food court slice at the times of the day when they regularly buy at Costco, the Redditor (u/Rpark888) said that they came up with the method after they had begun the plan.

When I reached that point, I made the decision that I would bring the temptation with me to my house so that I could indulge in it on my own time and according to my own terms. According to u/Rpark888, “that car ride home is then another test of wills, might, and determination.”

After the pie from the food court has cooled down, they suggest freezing two slices at a time in gallon-sized Ziploc bags. To keep the slices from sticking together, they recommend separating them with parchment paper. u/Rpark888 like to either reheat their frozen pizza by placing it in the toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for six minutes or by air-frying it at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes “if I want my pepperoni slightly burned.” Those who follow this method are free to reheat their pizza in whichever manner they want.

“Either way, the crust turns out hot and crispy, and [it’s] ideal for a late-night treat that’s only equal to the fresh bite at the club!” I have added u/Rpark888.

There have already been hundreds of comments left on the post that was made by the Redditor. Many of these comments were from other Costco members who couldn’t wait to try out the procedure for themselves.

“Never ever considered that, such an awesome idea,” a particular individual wrote.

The reaction of another individual was, “This is big brain thinking.”

Others, meantime, said that they had also experimented with freezing their pizza from the food court in the past and were really pleased with the results.

Also, I have been doing this for quite some time now. One of the customers stated that it was “probably one of the best reheated pizzas I’ve ever had.”

“After being placed in the freezer, the mozzarella is even more delicious than it was before. I do a 10-second burst on a slice that I have placed in the microwave…Then, after waiting ten seconds, do one more burst. To put it another way, it brings it to the point where the cheese begins to sweat, which is the ideal temperature, according to another person.

There are a number of interesting hacks that customers of Costco have developed for the famous food court pies sold by the business. This is just one of them. The members also suggest topping the pizza with chopped onions from the food court, and some of them prefer to improve their slices by adding dried herbs, hot honey, or other condiments when they get back to their homes. If you ask for a pizza to be cooked “well-done,” which results in a crust that is crispier, some people claim that some food courts will even cook it for you.
