Buffalo Chicken Waffle Fry Nachos Recipe

When game day arrives, I have a longing for something that is crispy, cheesy, and filled with tastes that I am acquainted with. This Buffalo chicken waffle fry dish is the finest example of a comfort meal that can be shared with others. It begins with waffle fries that have been roasted until they are crispy and then seasoned with vinegar powder for a tangy taste. While this is going on, frozen chicken tenders are given their own ranch flavor treatment before being tossed in a spicy sauce that is flavored with butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 1/2-lb.) bag frozen waffle fries
  • 2 Tbsp. ranch seasoning (from a 1-oz. packet), divided
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 c. crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 carrot, shredded on the large holes of a box grater (about 1/4 c.) 
  • 1 (1 1/2-lb.) bag frozen fried chicken tenders
  • 1/4 c. hot sauce
  • 1/2 large celery stalk, thinly sliced (about 1/4 c.)
  • Ranch dressing, for serving 
  • 2 Tbsp. sliced fresh chives

Directions

Step 1

Put racks in the top and lower thirds of the oven, and preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Combine the french fries and one tablespoon of ranch seasoning in a large bowl. Spread out in a uniform layer on a baking sheet after transferring to it. The chicken should be tossed with the remaining tablespoon of ranch seasoning in the same dish. Move the mixture to a different baking sheet.

Step 2

Bake the chicken and fries for 25 to 27 minutes, moving the trays from front to back and top to bottom and tossing them halfway through the cooking process. The chicken should be cooked through and the fries should be crispy. Place the fries on the top rack and the chicken on the bottom rack.

Step 3

During this time, get a big basin and mix together the butter and spicy sauce.

Step 4

Turn the oven down to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Move the chicken to a chopping board, and then slice it into pieces that are suitable for snacking. Mix the chicken with the spicy sauce mixture in the bowl, and then toss it to coat it. Garnish the fries with chunks of chicken. To finish, sprinkle with Monterey Jack and/or cheddar cheese.

Step 5
