There have been a number of really interesting Whopper innovations introduced this year, ranging from the Fiery Bacon Whopper that was released over the summer to the Wednesday’s Whopper that was introduced earlier this autumn. Fans of Burger King have been treated to these innovations. At this moment, the chain is introducing three more, and it is possible that they are some of the most bizarre Whopper innovations to date.
The Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper, the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, and the Mexican Street Corn Whopper are all brand-new additions that will be available on Burger King menus throughout the country on November 14. The new Whopper tastes were first introduced by Burger King in the middle of September; however, the restaurant did not provide an official debut date for the burgers until this week.
The three Whoppers were all selected as finalists in the “Million Dollar Whopper Contest” that was held by Burger King earlier in 2024. The contest encouraged fans to submit their own unique ideas for Whopper flavors in order to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $1 million and have their burgers designed just for them distributed in restaurants for a limited time.
After reviewing more than one million contest entries, the company said that it chose the Fried Pickle Ranch, Maple Bourbon BBQ, and Mexican Street Corn Whoppers as the winners of the competition. At this point, consumers will at long last get the opportunity to test them out and contribute to the selection of the winner of the main prize of one million dollars.
There will be QR codes printed on the sandwich wrappers for the Million Dollar Whopper. These codes will direct customers to the Burger King app or website, where they will be able to vote for their best ideas until December 5th. Voting requires a Royal Perks account, so if you want to be a part of the process of selecting the winner of the contest, you should be sure to join up before the deadline.
Before they are served on menus later this week, here is all you need to know about each of the finalists:
- Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper: A quarter-pound beef patty that has been flame-grilled and topped with pickle ranch, lettuce, fried pickles, bacon, and Swiss cheese is featured on a toasted sesame bun in this dish that was created by Fabian, who is from the state of California.
- Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper: This dish, which was developed by Calvin from California, consists of a quarter-pound beef patty that has been flame-grilled and topped with maple bourbon BBQ sauce, maple bacon seasoning, bacon, American cheese, which is and crispy onions and jalapeños. It is served on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- Mexican Street Corn Whopper: Kelsie, a resident of Nebraska, is the creator of this dish, which consists of a quarter-pound beef patty that has been flame-grilled and is topped with street corn spread, lettuce, tomato, tortilla chips seasoned with Southwest spices, and Mexican hot queso on a toasted sesame seed loaf.
As a way of expressing gratitude to consumers who submitted ideas but were not selected as finalists, Burger King is giving out one million original Whopper sandwiches for only one dollar beginning today, November 12th. As long as supplies are still available, Royal Perks members may take advantage of this promotion by going to the “offers” area of the Burger King app.
