Greetings, all you millennials… Our children will once again be able to experience one of our favorite dinners from our youth. What do you remember about the legendary partnership that took place in 1992 between SpaghettiOs and the “Where’s Waldo?” book series? It should come as no surprise that Campbell’s is bringing home cans of o-shaped pasta combined with other noodle shapes inspired by “Where’s Waldo” in order to create a fun and engaging game for our children to play while they are eating. This is because the game was so successful during its run in the 1990s.
The New “Where’s Waldo?” from SpaghettiOs ” Cooperative effort
Why, then, has Waldo returned? One of the representatives from Campbell’s said that “SpaghettiOs delights nostalgia-loving millennials—and it delights Waldo also.” A significant number of the original fans who were a fan of SpaghettiOs when they were young and who adored the show “Where’s Waldo?” would be thrilled to share this experience with their own children.
What should children anticipate when they take their first bite out of a bowl of SpaghettiOs with the “Where’s Waldo?” game? This is a game of hide-and-seek that is similar to the ones that we used to like playing in the 1990s. This edition’s noodle forms feature Waldo’s tousled head, his pet Woof, a striped shirt, and a hat, in addition to the regular Os; all of these shapes are drowned in a creamy tomato and cheese sauce. The objective of the game is still to locate Waldo.
Children and those of us who have been born between 1981 and 1996 are sure to like the nourishing supper that is provided by SpaghettiOs. This meal is filled with necessary nutrients and veggies, and it is sure to be a favorite among both groups. On the other hand, if we are being really truthful with ourselves, we are not eating SpaghettiOs in order to meet our daily vitamin requirements.
We would, to tell you the truth, be more inclined to create our own for that. Rather than that, we are opening a can in order to have a taste of the reassuring nostalgia that we may share with our children, and that we could wind up preserving for ourselves.
